Elska á Fjárfelli

Mistress Elska has served Æthelmearc as the head of the kingdom Brewer’s Guild, and as the kingdom Deputy Minister of Arts & Sciences. Before that, she was a kingdom-level advisor and judge at various arts and sciences competitions after twice-winning the Ice Dragon Pentathlon arts and sciences competition. She recently held the position of kingdom archery champion and has achieved the rank of Master Bowman, a recently was inducted into the Scarlet Guard.

She was elevated to the Order of the Laurel for her research and writing about brewing, soap, and mead. You can follow her endeavors on her blog “A Booke of Secretes.”

Elska has written on soap, mead, and brewing and published through the SCA’s Compleat Anachronist series, including To Make Black Sope and Of Hony: Brewing Medieval and Renaissance Mead.

She has also graciously made available her collection of handouts from classes, workshops, etc., and is willing to let others access them.

Elska also enjoys archery and equestrian activities a great deal.
