Elska á Fjárfelli

Mistress Elska serves the Dominion as minister of arts & sciences, and serves as a kingdom-level advisor and judge at various arts and sciences competitions after twice-winning the Ice Dragon Pentathlon arts and sciences contest.

Recently she was given a writ to consider elevation to the Order of the Laurel for her research and writing about brewing, soap, and mead.

Elska has written on soap, mead, and brewing and published through the SCA’s Compleat Anachronist series, including To Make Black Sope and Of Hony Brewing Medieval and Renaissance Mead.

She has also graciously made available her collection of handouts from classes, workshops, etc., and is willing to let others access them.

Order of the Laurel badge: Fieldless, a laurel wreath vert. Minister of Arts & Sciences badge: Azure, a candle enflamed within an arch stooped argent. Order of the Fleur d'Æthelmearc badge: Per saltire gules and Or, four fleur-de-lis in cross counterchanged. Order of the Sycamore badge: Fieldless, three sycamore leaves conjoined in pall, per pale gules and Or. Fieldless, on a barrel palewise proper, an escarbuncle argent. Award of the Golden Escarbuncle (Service) badge: Fieldless, On a goutte de sang an escarbuncle Or.
