Fall Æthelmearc Æcademy & War College @ Lehman Alternative Community School (LACS)
Nov 10 all-day

Join us in the Dominion of Myrkfaelinn on November 10, 2018 for the Autumn session of Æthelmearc Æcademy and War College.

The event will take place at the Lehman Alternative Community School (LACS), 402 Chestnut St., Ithaca, NY 14850 (map available at http://tinyurl.com/mdwxgnx). The site is handicapped accessible.

The site offers a number of flexible options for teaching environments, including: a Black Box Theater, music room, gym, industrial kitchen, fields, woods, and an outdoor amphitheater. When volunteering to teach, please indicate if your class would be best scheduled in one of these particular spaces. The class coordinator for this event is THL Hrólfr á Fjárfelli. Any questions about classes can be sent to him at hrolfr.a.fjarfell@gmail.com.

If you’ve never taught before and you are a little nervous about teaching in a classroom situation, you may want to consider teaching in a more interactive way by using one of the flexible spaces for a demonstration, or requesting a table where you could display your work.

The Adult Event Registration for the event is $15.00. For those with a current SCA membership card, the Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $10.00. (Registration includes lunch.) Teens between the ages of 13 and 17 pay $5.00; children 12 and under are free. Checks should be made payable to SCA NY, Inc – Dominion of Mrykfaelinn.

Doors open at 9:00 am with classes starting at 10:00 am. Site closes at 7:00 pm.
