Robert of Ferness

Lord Robert serves as Dominion herald and webminister.

Recently Robert was inducted into the order of the Golden Alce for archery-related activities. Last year he was made a Companion of the Sycamore for shoe making and brewing.

Robert joined the SCA in 1989 while a college student, participated for a number of years as a heavy-weapons fighter, then moved to California for a decade. Now that he’s back, he has taken up combat archery with a crossbow; target archery with a custom-made longbow; brewing (especially his recent Worts of the Roses: Lancastrian Red and Yorkist White), as well as making shoes.

See Shoes By Robert for a list of his shoe-making endeavors and helpful resources.

Robert hails from England during the reign of King Edward III.
